2 Bedroom Apartment Renovation with Floor Levelling, Newquay

EGD Renovations completed a complex renovation of a 2-bedroom apartment in Newquay with significant structural floor challenges. The concrete beam and block floor had warped over time, creating up to 100mm difference in the middle of the floor. While a structural engineer confirmed the structure was safe, the movement had caused cracked large-format kitchen tiles and squeaky floors throughout. The existing floating floor system with outdated polystyrene insulation was no longer providing adequate support. The project involved complete refurbishment including new kitchen, two bathroom conversions from bath tubs to walk-in showers, and full redecoration.

The lightweight floor levelling solution provided a stable, level surface while significantly improving insulation and eliminating squeaks. The quality of work was proven when the owner of the neighbouring apartment commissioned EGD Renovations 7 years later for the same comprehensive renovation, choosing oak engineered flooring for the second project.
