18th Century Grade 2 Listed Farmhouse, Mylor

“Iona and Steve of EGD Renovations have carefully and painstakingly renovated my 18th Century farmhouse from a derelict condition. Almost all the architectural features were intact and in need of a delicate, authentic approach to restoration. 

 

Everything Iona and Steve did was relentlessly researched; natural and heritage materials were sourced, Cornwall Council applications were sensitively approached, and care and attention was paid to every detail, even down to the cataloging of original window glass, hinges and hardware as they were removed. 

 

The project management was hugely important as I was living at the other side of the country until the house was ready to move into. I could not have asked for more…weekly photographs, fantastic communication, ready solutions to any problems, and forensic attention to the project accounts and budget.  

 

The result is a very beautiful house we can all be proud of;  even local walkers enjoyed the transformation and workmanship.
